We welcome groups of 3 to 30 people (indoors & on the porch) and groups of up to 125 (on the lawn, under the tent)! We help make planning easy and fun at the Dug Road Inn… whether it be an outdoor lawn party, an intimate porch gathering, or a place to host the most important day of your life, the staff at Dug Road Inn is here to help you every step of the way.

LOCATION & SET UP: The Dug Road Inn is one block off Water Street and just a few blocks from Luther College in Decorah’s charming historic district. Events can be held inside, outside on our spacious lawn or on our private porches.
PARKING: Both on-street and off-street parking is available for our guests.
WHOLE HOUSE ROOM RENTALS: When booking the entire house, a non-refundable $150 fee will be charged upon making the reservation, plus a 25% deposit for the total cost of all rooms. All rooms and suites must be reserved at full price and there is a two night minumum. Full payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. When canceling a full house booking, notification must be given in writing 60 days prior to arrival date or the entire deposit will be forfeited. If we are able to resell any of the rooms, credit will be given for appropriate payments made less the non-refundable booking fee.
CATERING: We are happy to plan a menu that fits your budget as well as your desires. Nothing makes an event more memorable than great food….and the Dug Road Inn is known for its incredible cooking which features local, seasonal & organic meat, produce, baked goods and organic, fair-trade coffees and speciality teas. We are happy to accommodate food restrictions for your guests when we know in advance.
WEDDING DETAILS: We love intimate weddings indoors (up to 30 guests) or larger groups outdoors (up to 125 guests) and we are here to create a romantic setting for your special day. We can help with all or part of the following: hiring the officiant, ordering the cake, catering the food, securing the music, ordering tents, dance floors, lighting, decorating, staffing, and keeping your guests happy.
When planning a large event we do require a two night stay of the whole house and a use of premises fee=$750.00 for large groups and check with us for a smaller group fee.
BAR SET UP: Since the Dug Road Inn does not have a liquor license, we allow groups to bring in their own alcohol and we simply charge a set-up fee.
